Kennedy Maciel is an elite black belt competitor and instructor under his father, Rubens 'Cobrinha' Charles. Born in Brazil and training since 2012, Kennedy established an outstanding competition record, winning IBJJF World Championships at every colored belt rank from white to brown before receiving his black belt in 2018. His black belt achievements include winning the IBJJF No-Gi World Championship, capturing an ADCC Silver Medal, and winning the 2026 IBJJF European Championship. Kennedy plays a primary role in instructing adult classes and heading the Kids and Teens programs at the Los Angeles headquarters.
